In this era of Social media most of us are not truly building relationships we are just communicating or pushing what we want to say on to others that may not necessarily want to hear it. So we decide that marketing our Business or platform is to communicate or add, friend, follow, others in these mediums and then say nothing to them. Have you ever experienced that before? Someone adds you on a social platform and then says nothing to you. So why did you add me again? How are you building relationships with others in your niche? Are you just seeking them out on social media and adding as many people as you can or do you actually try to get to know that person in one medium and then bring them in closer to your world by connecting and building on a more personal level. How are you connecting via your blog, Facebook, twitter, Google +, and more?I know there are many tools out there that can teach you or show you how to get Thousands of followers in social media so that you can pad the number of users or followers that you have but what purpose is that serving if you are not engaging your followers. Building relationships are so important to me that I would truly like to get to know people when they add me or I add them on social media. Here is how I start to build relationships online and eventually take them offline.
Start with the Introduction - Introducing yourself and finding something in common with the other person always helps in starting a new relationship.
Find out what they truly love, their passion - Most times you can tell what someone is passionate about because they will always be posting about it. It could be a Job, Business, God, family or more, try to figure that out.
Ask them questions - I love asking questions via my blog so that we can create a conversation or dialog between people or a community.
Genuinely get to know them - Most people in the online world just want to pad their stats or use you for something in their hidden agenda. Drop the agenda and just honestly engage people who you meet as friends.
Share their message with other people - This is a must in building relationships because if you are truly interested in the other person sharing their content should be a must. You want what's best for them and you want to see them succeed. So help them with what's passionate to them.
Always be positive - You must always be positive and never negative or say negative things.
Push them up - I always love to push up other people. One of the main laws of friendship is to push up people and do it from the bottom of our heart.
Building long-lasting relationships does not have to be hard, but it requires constant commitment. Some days you will not feel the best or 100%, but you have to know that regardless someone is probably going through something even worse.Question: What else can you add to the list? How do you build Relationships? My Vision Statement : To help others market themselves online, build GOD focused Organizations by creating a tribe of passionate Entrepreneurs that love the Lord, their families, and others. Is Network Leadership for you?
